IV Plenary Think Tank "SNS de Contas Certas"

Where Policy Meets Practice: Building the Future of the SNS, Together.
While the recent dissolution of NHS England has sent shockwaves across Europe, Portugal is taking a bold step in the opposite direction: promoting sustainability through dialogue, innovation, and local-national alignment. On April 3–4, the IV Plenary of the Think Tank "SNS de Contas Certas" will convene at the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation in Lisbon, offering what is increasingly rare in Europe — a true space for collaborative thinking about the future of public healthcare.
A Laboratory of Ideas for the Future of the SNS
Organized by the Fórum Hospital do Futuro, Digital Health Portugal, and Debate Exímio Lda (a spin-off of col.lab), this Think Tank brings together health leaders, policymakers, local authorities, and civil society to co-create ideas for a sustainable National Health Service (SNS).
In a time of political transition, this initiative provides fertile ground for bold proposals that any future government can act upon.

Portugal as a Model for Health Governance
Portugal is stepping forward as a reference in health policy innovation for the first time in centuries. With political stability and fiscal balance, the country is uniquely positioned to lead by example in reshaping how national and local levels co-create sustainable health solutions.
This event offers a rare space for idea incubation and civic responsibility — something Europe urgently needs but often lacks.
