About Paul Nunesdea, PhD CPF

Paul Nunesdea is the English pen name of Paulo Nunes de Abreu, an IAF Certified Professional Facilitator™ (CPF) and a recognized thought leader in collaboration, strategic facilitation, and digital health transformation.

As a Social and Organizational Psychologist with a PhD from Lancaster University Management School, where I had the unique opportunity to learn under Peter Checkland, creator of Soft Systems Methodology, I've built a strong academic foundation that supports my professional endeavours in healthcare consulting. My career has been marked by a series of leadership roles, including a tenure as CEO, and advisory positions predominantly in the realms of Public Administration and Healthcare.

My passion for creating positive societal impact led me to establish several NGOs. I've spearheaded major business summits such as the Health Data Forum, the Health Regions Summit, and Digital Health Portugal, among other significant initiatives.

These experiences have honed my skills in organizing and facilitating workshops and corporate events for a diverse clientele, including private sector giants and governmental organizations, as well as multilateral agencies like the EU's EMCCDA. My work with global corporations such as Microsoft, PMI and ASCOM has been particularly challenging and rewarding

During COVID-19, I focused on building resilient communities through public engagement and collaboration. With 15+ years of CEO experience and a client-centric approach, I co-founded the Digital Collaboration Academy (now My Meeting Support) in 2020, offering advanced facilitation training. In 2021, I co-founded Debate Exímio Lda, specializing in civic platforms and community outreach, managing projects like the Health Data Forum and Digital Health Portugal.

The curator of the Roundtable Principles for Effective Decision-making, and co-founder of My Meeting Support and Debate Exímio Lda, Paul Nunesdea is a CPF - Certified Professional Facilitator by the International Association of Facilitators.
